This color photograph was taken in 2013, depicting the entrance to the Henry Dejuer Playhouse, or the Henry Street Settlement Playhouse, at 466 Grand Street on the Lower East Side. The historical building features its long-standing central entrance with an arched overhead window, white trim, and green double doors. On either side of the entrance, decorative vintage lanterns still dangle, and overhead, an iron bracket holds a sign reading "Henry Street Settlement- Harry Dejuer Playhouse." Advertising cases flank the entrance, and to the left-hand side of the building, classic brick siding has replaced the 1980s mural. | Creator: Beyond My Ken | Date: 12 May 2013 | Source: Wikimedia; Neighborhood Playhouse entrance | Rights: This file is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 4.0 International, 3.0 Unported, 2.5 Generic, 2.0 Generic and 1.0 Generic license.
